In August of 2003, Mike Raley started Quality Pool Service after being laid off from Flour. It was a simple swimming pool cleaning company consisting of 48 accounts, one helper, and a garage. We have since grown into a thriving small business of 9 outstanding team members, 290 weekly pool cleaning accounts, and a three-bay shop.
Not only do we maintain swimming pools in the Sugar Land/Missouri City area for everyday use, but we have also branched into equipment repair, remodeling, and tile cleaning. In 2012, Jimmy Hood became partner and formally launched the swimming pool remodeling division, QPS Construction.
The goal of Quality Pool Service is to provide the best swimming pool experience for our clients. To do this, we have implemented numerous processes derived from experience and formal industry education. All of our pool maintenance technicians are CPO certified, which is the world's leading verifiable pool and spa training credential. With quarterly, ongoing training from PHTA Certified Instructor, Turnage & Associates, our pool maintenance technicians stay up to date with the latest educational opportunities.
Our repair technician, Collin Schaaf, holds an Electrical Residential Appliance Installers license required by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation to replace pump motors, control panels, heaters, spa blowers, and lights. He also attends manufacturing technical courses from Jandy, Hayward, and Pentair on a regular basis to stay informed of the ever changing technologies that are rapidly finding their way into the pool industry.
Jimmy Hood holds a NPC Start-Up Technician Certification from the Nation Plaster Council. This program certifies individuals to NPC Industry Standards in the proper startup of plastered pools. The startup process is the key event in bringing your pool to life! Proper start up is the first step in pool owners realizing the full value and longevity of their investment.
